Petitions are now circulating to get a Graduated Income Tax (GIT) on the fall ballot. Currently Colorado has a flat tax which means that those making $20,000 in annual income are taxed at the same rate at those making over $500,000. If we are successful in getting this on the ballot and it passes, 97% of Coloradans will see a decrease in their taxes or no change to their taxes.
