Attend the Dec. 2 and Dec. 16 City Council meetings in person (arrive by 5:15 pm to sign up for public comment) or online (you ‘raise your hand’ online and they call on you) and demand an end to the Flock Safety program in Durango. The system surveils and stores the movement history of everyone in our community, shares data nationwide without our control, and is used by ICE to target our immigrant community. We have three main demands:
End all contracts with Flock SafetyRemove all Flock cameras from public spaces and roadsEnd all sharing of Flock data collected in Durango with other agencies.
