The Trump administration is seeking to eliminate the Roadless Rule, which protects millions of acres of National Forest across the country. The Roadless Rule protects not only our national forests, but also the wildlife and their habitat. By allowing roads in these areas, we are allowing clearcut logging, drilling and likely more wildfires, since most are human caused. Protect our forests by protesting the rollback of this important rule.

We found out at the last minute that Rep. Jeff Hurd was in town and we were able to organize a protest against what he and the Congressional Western caucus are doing to Bears Ears and Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monuments. We had a good turnout at our sign waving and made sure that he knows that we want him to Protect our Public Lands and that he hurt us by voting for HR 1 (the "BBB").

We still need signatures. This comes before City Council on Tuesday, October 20. The City Of Durango is considering adding organic materials collection (food scraps and yard trimmings) to its curbside trash and recycling service.
